We need an extra padding for the pilates table my husband works out on to improve after a stroke. He is doing marvelous with this added softness to the table. Really helps the bum. It is nice and thick just as described. Made of a marvelous material and should last a lifetime. Good purchase for us.

It's pretty thick and firm which is great. I could see someone complaining about the size and thickness but I feel like anybody purchasing this should know it's not going to roll up like the thinner mats. Stability is fine and the color doesn't seem to be cheap and degradable. It seems pretty easy to clean because I was able to dust off some dirt and debris after Yoga and Park. I'd recommend this

I bought this mat for my physical therapy exercises and I love it! It is an inch thick of foam rubber and I really appreciated this extra padding because I have a hardwood floor. Very supporting! It conveniently rolls up and goes into my closet when I'm done, and it comes with an elastic strap with a carry handle that slips over the mat once it is rolled up for easy transport. I've had this mat for three months now, and so far no signs of wear (eg, tearing, cracking or crumbling of the rubber foam).
I would have given this mat five stars, but my one complaint is that the 24" width is a little too narrow for me. Another 6" would have been great. The tradeoff is that it would have been less convenient to carry.

The thickness of this mat and the density of the foam make this the best mat I’ve ever owned. I love mine so much that I came back and bought another one for my husband. We’ve both been working out for about 37 years, and we’ve gone through tons of workout mats. I will use this one until it wears out (many years down the road) and then buy a new one just like it.
At our age, the more cushioning the better for our knees, hips, wrists and shoulders. I’ve been having a lot of wrist pain during plank routines, and this mat helps so much that I can start back up doing workouts I had quit doing due to wrist pain.
The large size and extra width of this mat are great for floor-based legwork and mat-based pilates. I wear tennis shoes on this mat and do not “baby” it. I’ve had no issues with cracking.
The material is like “memory foam” in that it compacts down some while still supporting the areas where pressure is applied. Then, over the next few minutes after you get off of it, it springs back up to its original flat position.
Worth every penny!

For someone like me who does frequent workouts at home, and having some boney parts of the body, the typical 0.25 or 0.5 inch thickness mattress was literally a pain to use for some exercises. I never looked at the thickness before but after trying this mat it's so comfortable with 0 pain during those exercises I suffered when using a thinner mat. It's definitely worth its price, and feels pretty good quality and good grip so it doesn't slip even during more intense activity. Super happy with the purchase!
